Paris - Rouen
(On the Road Again)
First day of our vacation with a very enjoyable drive through little villages dressed up in fall colours. Every single one of them has a "boulangerie" - local bread and pastry store - and the widespread cliché about the French men wearing a scarf, a beret and carrying a "baguette" gets confirmed for the "baguette". Didn't really notice the rest of the outfit as being a rule...
Rouen
Quite tough to find a parking spot on Saturday market morning, but found one quite close to city center and you can tell these guys sure know how to enjoy a beautiful October morning on the terasse. Cathedral of Rouen, the tallest of its sorts in Europe, had been featured in Monet's paintings throughout all seasons and types of weather. Rabbit below did obviously leed a sinful and atheist life, this might explain how come he ended up on display in the butcher shop. Just caught my eye while passing so I had to return a few steps and take the picture.
